FRC Team #2395 Captain wins NCWIT award.
Our own Katrina Hammonds, 2012 Captain of the FIRST Robotics 4-H Team 2395:

Local/Affiliate and the National "2012 NCWIT (National Center for Women
and Information Technology) Award for Aspirations in Computing."
This award recognizes young women at the high-school level for their
computing-related achievements and interests. Award-winners are selected
for their demonstrated, outstanding aptitude and interest in information
technology/computing; solid leadership ability; good academic history; and
plans for post-secondary education. We are so proud of Katrina and her
accomplishments. Being recognized with the NCWIT Award makes her a role
